Our House Incorporated

Our House provides healthy and stimulating environments for people with developmental and other disabilities, as well as those in the community-at-large who may be in need of support services. Our House residences, employment services, and social programs help them achieve their full potential for living meaningful and productive lives.

Our House Incorporated serves people with developmental and other disabilities by offering enriching work, home, community, and recreational opportunities. We help people to achieve growth, success, and personal satisfaction. This is accomplished with respect and responsiveness to each individuals needs, abilities and choices. Our services emphasize independence, responsibility, community involvement, health and safety.

History:
Founded in 1980, we are a private, non-profit organization licensed by the state of New Jersey. The first Our House group home was opened in 1981, and today there are group homes, supervised apartments and supportive living apartments in Essex, Morris, and Somerset and Union counties. Almost two decades old, the Our House Employment Service is recognized as a state leader in the provision of supported employment services. Recreation services have always been an integral part of Our house and its mission to provide continuous quality support.
