The mission of the Association is to support Morristown Memorial Hospital in advancing the quality of healthcare in the community. This mission is fulfilled through fundraising endeavors and by providing caring services to patients and visitors.

Description:
WAMMH raises more than $500,000 annually for the Hospital and is one of the largest contributors to Hospital capital campaigns. WAMMH has pledged $1 million to the Valerie Fund Children’s Center at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. In previous years, the Association fulfilled a $1.5 million pledge to the Gagnon Heart Hospital, $1.5 million to the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, $1 million to the Goryeb Children’s Hospital and $1 million to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. WAMMH has contributed over $11.5 million to the hospital since 1989.

Morristown Memorial Hospital is the leading provider of health care services in northern New Jersey. The private, non-profit Hospital has been designated a Regional Trauma Center, Regional Perinatal Center, and Regional Pediatric Center. Recently opened facilities include the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Gagnon Children’s Emergency Center and Gagnon Heart Hospital. Morristown Memorial Hospital is an important teaching hospital as well as the largest employer in Morristown and the second largest employer in Morris County.

History:
The Women’s Association of Morristown Memorial Hospital (WAMMH) is a seven hundred member volunteer-based organization, established in 1893. This makes the Association one of the nation’s oldest and largest hospital auxiliaries, with a growing membership and broad spectrum of fundraising efforts and services.
