Blackwell Street Center for the Arts

We are a not-for-profit cooperative gallery open to all artists whose work meets the standards set by the membership.

Description:
We show as a group at galleries all over the metropolitan area and maintain a website for our members, www.blackwell-st-artists.org. In addition, each year we stage a student art show at the Atrium Gallery in Morristown. The show attracts up to 800 entries annually and is open to all Morris County high school students. We currently have 12 members.

History:
We were founded in 1983 in Dover, N.J., where we maintained a gallery space until l997. In 1988 we began our annual Student Art Show, which has now become one of the most prestigious shows of its kind in New Jersey.
