After School Enrichment Programs

The After School Enrichment Programs (ASEP) is a subsidiary of The Work-Family Connection, Inc., which is a 501©(3) not-for-profit educational organization committed to providing high-quality services that continually respond to the emerging needs of children, families, schools and communities.

Description:
ASEP is currently serving 300 students in 4 schools, located in Roselle Park, 5 days a week, 3-6pm, at little or no cost (in many cases tuition free) to the families or to the school districts for the students to attend.
Students receive nutritious snacks, homework help, mentoring, and instruction in character education, academics, and fun activities including sports, arts & crafts, performing arts, and community service. Parents are able to go to work, and be more productive knowing that their children are in a safe, nurturing environment.
ASEP’s philosophy is to provide a structured yet relaxed atmosphere and to promote and teach essential life skills such as decision making, conflict resolution, negotiation, socialization, problem solving, and good self-esteem.
All curriculum include literacy, math, history, character education, community service, communication and team building skills, while making the process FUN!

History:
Founded in April 1989, The Work-Family Connection has been exclusively operating before and after school programs, vacation/holiday programs, kindergarten wrap-a-round programs, and summer camps. The Work-Family Connection is continually growing, at this time serving over 1500 students in 29 schools, adding 1-2 new schools per year.
