Lung Cancer Circle Of Hope

We are committed to eradicating the myths surrounding lung cancer. The Lung Cancer Circle of Hope creates knowledge and awareness of lung cancer by providing educational programs to the community at large. Working closely with public policy makers, we seek to increase research funding and help to shape policy decisions that impact lung cancer.

Description:
We strive to remove the stigma long associated with lung cancer. Although smoking is the #1 cause of lung cancer it is not the only cause. Our programs are aimed at presenting the broad picture of lung cancer, the disease which is not synonymous with smoking the addiction. Whether smoker or not, NO ONE DESERVES TO DIE OF LUNG CANCER.

History:
Since our incorporation in January 2006, we have co-sponsored 9 educational symposiums partnership with hospitals throughout NJ to increase awareness of lung cancer. We are also working with members of the State Legislature to enact comprehensive radon detection and mitigation as this gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer. LCCH has also announced the Chasia Prize for lung cancer discovery which will be awarded to a pre-doctoral student studying in NJ -
LCCH became a 501(c)(3)in June, 2006.
