Description:
Confidential, individual, group and family treatment services for those in need of drug/alcohol outpatient counseling. We also provide 9 hours per week of Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), utilizing group and individual counseling to those who need a more intensive level of care than standard outpatient counseling provides. We also provide substance abuse evaluations.

Early Intervention programming for youth at high risk of drug/alcohol abuse or misuse.

Providing a variety of prevention/education programs designed to meet the specific needs of employers, schools, individuals and families.

Serving as the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) for Hunterdon County.

History:
Our first office opened in Lambertville in 1977 when concerned Lambertville citizens requested that a rehabilitation facility in Trenton start a local counseling center for substance abuse treatment. As our services expanded, so did area support and interest. By 1981 we were incorporated as an independent treatment and prevention agency serving Hunterdon County and surrounding areas under a local Board of Directors. In 1984, having outgrown our original office space, we moved to our current location.

We continued to expand our treatment, intervention and prevention programs throughout the 1980's and 1990's to include more treatment and prevention alternatives, as well as becoming the agency in charge of the Hunterdon County Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center (IDRC). In 1998, the building we occupied experienced a fire, forcing us to relocate temporarily. Since that time we have worked hard to rebuild our organization, and we continue to strive towards servicing Hunterdon County with the best possible substance abuse treatment, intervention and prevention services.
