Branchburg Rescue Squad

The Branchburg Rescue Squad provides Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Branchburg Township in Somerset County and portions of Readington Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The rescue squad is also responsible for providing technical rescue services in our coverage area. All of the members of the Squad are volunteers, and all services are provided without charge to our patients.

Branchburg Rescue Squad, Inc. is an IRS 501(c)3 charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible.

Description:
The primary purpose of the Branchburg Rescue Squad is providing Emergency Medical Service and to those who live in, work in, or pass through our coverage area.

In addition to Emergency Medical Services, Branchburg Rescue Squad is responsible for technical rescues within our coverage area.

Specialized training in these areas is an ongoing activity for all members of the Rescue Squad.

These activities include:

Vehicle Extrication: Using a variety of tools, gain access to patients trapped in motor vehicles and enable extrication of the patients from the vehicles.
Swiftwater/Flood/Ice Rescue: Methods of assisting patients trapped due to floods or water emergencies.
High-Angle and Rope Rescue: Use of ropes and rigging techniques to provide care for patients in difficult to access areas.

The rescue squad also provides emergency medical support to special events.
