The purpose of The Center for Abuse and Rape Emergencies of Charlotte County Florida, Inc. is to help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes in Charlotte County, Florida.
Description:
C.A.R.E. Inc. is a Crime Victims Services Center designed to assist victims of violent crime and their families. The organization maintains a team of trained volunteer and staff advocates, at accessible locations in Charlotte County. Services include crisis intervention via telephone and in-person, counseling, advocacy and accompaniment, information and referral, and prevention education to the community.
Volunteers receive extensive training both initially and on an ongoing basis.
C.A.R.E. is also the after-hours provider of Charlotte County's 2-1-1 Services.
