Our mission is to help people with disabilities achieve independence and self-determination in their lives, their homes, their places of work, and their communities.

Description:
The Center for Independent Living of Southwest Florida, Inc. (CILSWF) is a unique organization in many ways. We were chartered as a mandate from the U.S. Congress. We are a non-profit organization with a minimum of 51% of our board of directors and a minimum of 51% of hired staff being persons with significant disabilities. We provide independent living services to a cross disability population to assist our consumers (clients) in maintaining their independence and freedom from nursing homes and similar care. There are no fees for our services.
