Time Out Respite Care

The mission of Time Out Respite Care is to provide families of children and adults with disabilities short term breaks from the continuous duties involved in caring for an individual with "special needs." Care will be provided according to the family's needs and not their financial abilities. Our goal is to encourage and support the family in order to keep the family unit together. Time Out offers families "the gift of time."

Description:
We reach out to a family who can't find the help they desperately need now (not in the near future), to help that elderly gentleman have the time to tend to his needs while he takes a break from caring for his terminal wife, or the young single mother with no family locally care for her own medical needs while being assured her children are being safely cared for. Time Out is there for these families, whether it is for a few hours...time to go to a doctor's appointment or a dinner out with the spouse or taking that much needed vacation. The stress and ongoing responsibility is lifted for whatever the reason.

Time Out's respite services are offered to families within the family's home, at one of our licensed caregiver homes, or at our spacious facility on Harborview Road. Families choose what makes both them and their loved one most comfortable. Our respite facility also offers group weekend sleepovers for our disabled children and young adults, which are a lot of fun for all that attend.
