Volunteer Opportunity Details:

We are looking for people who like art and who like to help artists display their work. You don't have to know how to draw a straight line. You just have to enjoy people. Currently we have some wonderful coordinators who have volunteered to serve. These volunteers come from all walks of life. Some paint and even display their own work from time to time. The site coordinator is assigned a site by the Art in Public Places Chair. This becomes their place. The coordinator contacts the artists from our list of names and invite the artist to display at that site for 2 months. So you do your work about 6 times a year. Easy? Yes and you do meet such delightful people. Being a site coordinator does not mean you go to a lot of meetings. Once we provide you with your instructions, we only meet about once or twice a year just to see where we all are and where things are going. Perhaps one of the easiest volunteer jobs you would ever have. Contact Council and become a site coordinator.
There is basic training which takes less than thirty minutes. Once or twice a year, we offer an "Emerging Artists Reception" inviting artists to bring samples of their work for the coordinators to view. This allows the coordinator an opportunity to meet the artists. We also keep a full list of eligible artists which can be reviewed. This opportunity is sponsored by: Arts & Humanities Council Of Charlotte County
We need volunteers who are free at these times
