Volunteer Opportunity Details:

New Operation Cooper Street offers valuable after-school academic help and recreational opportunities for children who would not otherwise receive them.

We are in dire need of volunteers that are (1) computer savvy, (2) knowledgeable on math and software navigation or (3)have knowledge of ACT/SAT preparation techniques.

If you're a person who knows that every child is special and unique, you can make a difference in how that child sees himself. Our program offers you the opportunity to tutor and mentor children at our Mary Street facility. We offer you a flexible schedule within our program that runs Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

Each Volunteer is expected to complete an hour orientation that includes:duties and expectations,techniques on how to interact with our students,our recording system, and our policies on discipline. A background check is standard procedure.
