The mission of the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society is to increase the awareness of jazz and blues music in the Sioux Falls community and region, through musical events and education.
Description:
The Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society is the only organization in the Sioux Falls region that's sole purpose is to promote and educate the community about jazz and blues music. The Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society has three major facets of programming: 1)an annual concert series; 2)JazzFest; and 3)educational programming. The concert series consists of five concert performances located at the Sioux Falls Historic Orpheum Theater. JazzFest is a two-day outdoor music festival that takes place every year on the third weekend of July at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls. JazzFest is free to the public. The Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society's various educational programs take place throughout the year.
