Health Connect is an independent source of free health information for individuals, families and communities. Our vision is to empower individuals in making informed health decisions by positioning Health Connect as a viable, sustainable organization.
Description:
The State of South Dakota's only dedicated consumer health information resource center.
History:
Health Connect opened in October 1996, as the Children's Medical Library with the mission to serve the citizens of South Dakota with their health information needs. In 2004, Health Connect assumed its new name so that anyone, with children or not, would feel welcomed to ask for assistance. Today we serve as the state's only dedicated independent source of free health information for individuals, families and communities.
