Families in Transition’s The Family Place is a new therapeutic child care and after-school program designed specifically for the needs and benefits of homeless children. The Family Place addresses the root issues that affect a family after experiencing homelessness, such as diminished family cohesion, child physical and emotional wellness and family consistency. The Family Place will provide a strength-based curriculum and family treatment designed to improve family stability, healthy child development and family growth. The Family Place will also include family programming, children’s activities and therapeutic parenting and children’s services. We are looking to collect the following items: Gerber Graduate snacks Baby Wipes Sippy Cups Diapers sizes 3+/Pull-ups training pants Small snack bags Crib sheets Bibs Fleece blankets (Must be washable) 100 % juice (Large bottles, not juice boxes) Your donation of any or all of the above items will be greatly appreciated.
