Become a liaison between the American Red Cross and the community to staff the Granite Chapter booth at community outreach events! By attending community outreach events on behalf of the Granite Chapter, you will become well versed in the history of the Red Cross and the services it offers to the public. By sharing this knowledge with the community you will raise their awareness about how to prepare for, prevent, and respond in times of emergencies. Set up, be present, and break down at community outreach events. One should know that this opportunity has other places offsite where it is possible to volunteer.
The Community Relations Assistant volunteer needs to be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Actively seeking a volunteer who is genuinely interested in the values and services rendered by the American Red Cross, has strong communication skills (particularly oral), is organized, has reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
