Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Want to help the American Red Cross be more efficient at organizing and planning special events and fundraisers? This opportunity includes:

Organize, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the following events: Heroes Event, and Taste of the Valley.
Detail oriented to aid in all areas of event preparation.
Assist in coordinating publicity efforts.
Possess friendly and professional personal and phone etiquette to follow up with media, sponsors, etc.
Coordinate the development of the event informational booklets.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications include:

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher).
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate initiative and the ability to problem solve.
Ability to think outside the box and be creative.
Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond.
