The mission of Your ReSource is to meet critical individual and community needs by facilitating an understanding of, and increase participation in, reuse, recycling and environmentally conscious consumer behavior.
Description:
Your ReSource is a 501(c)(3) human service, environmental organization designed to demonstrate the vital interdependency between the environment, humans and the economy. Our programs and services demonstrate this. CARE (Community Access to Rehabilitation Equipment) is our primary program that collects donations of gently used medical equipment. All items are refurbished and made available to anyone, for affordable cost or distributed free to those qualified.
History:
Your ReSource opened its doors in November 2005. Anyone can call to inquire about medical equipment donations or check on specific inventory. No prescriptions are required. Our showroom is open week days 9 AM and 5PM and Saturdays morning by appointment.

Overall Experience
A very positive addition to my life.

I became a volunteer at Your ReSource in July of 2006. I had been looking for volunteer work for quite awhile when I found YR. It suited me perfectly, close to home and the CARE program is of special interest to me. I am a stroke survivor and have had to use much of the durable medical equipment that CARE collects, refurbishes and offers for sale. It has been very gratifying to me to be able to help less fortunate people with disabilities and to spend time working on such worthwhile projects.
Also though I'm basically an office assistant, I've been able to use some of my graphics knowledge (a hobby of mine) to make signs and other artistic projects. The people who work here have been very friendly and good to work with.
Overall the experience of volunteering at Your ReSource has been a very positive addition to my life.
