At Monmouth Day Care Center we are dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating environment in which children are nurtured and challenged intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Recognizing that children develop at different rates with varying styles, we strive to help each child flourish as an individual, growing at his or her own pace.

History:
Monmouth Day Care Center was established in 1969 as a non-profit organization under the sponsorship of the Revitalization Corps, National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Red Bank Section, Junior League of Monmouth County, Council of Churches, and Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club of Central New Jersey.

The Center opened with one class of pre-school children at the United Methodist Church in Red Bank, and by 1972 three more classes were opened at the Shrewsbury Presbyterian Church. In 1976 the Center moved to 9 West Bergen Place (now Dr. James Parker Blvd.) in Red Bank and soon added two rooms for an innovative program for handicapped children.

In 1994 after conducting in-depth assessment study to identify changes in educational practices, areas of need and services duplication, Monmouth Day Care Center began providing care for babies as young as three months, replaced the before-and-after school program for school-aged children with a mini-camp program also available on school holidays, and phased out the segregated Handicare class. Our current facilities are specially designed for children, including seven classrooms, a meeting room, a multi-purpose room, a children’s library, a commercial kitchen, and three age-appropriate playgrounds.
