Logo

To mobilize the church to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ. Love INC's role is to help with the practical, emotional and spiritual issues of life. We help with many different outreaches (see below) and we are there to make a difference on all levels. Our charge is to make a difference in mind, body and soul.

Description:
Love INC reaches out to Monmouth County residents to provide people to people help and programs to meet community needs. Love INC acts as a community clearinghouse to screen requests for assistance to determine if the needs are legitimate and manageable. Love INC coordinates local area churches to help the poor which helps to ensure efficiency, reduce duplication and promote participation. Love INC ministries include the clearinghouse, used furniture, used cars, Christmas gifts, haircuts, computer training, life skills course, budget counseling, elder care, used bikes and prayer/ home visits.

History:
Love INC started in 1994 with just the clearinghouse and Christmas program and was located in the Baptist Church in Red Bank. The clearinghouse deals as a phone ministry screening calls mainly for rent and utility needs. Our Christmas program "Connect" identifies people in need and solicits donors to buy presents for the holiday. As the Lord would have it someone called within a few months of opening for a car. We began to pray and within two months we had two cars! "Wheels Appeal" has been an ongoing ministry ever since meeting transportation needs. "Furnished With Love" is our used furniture store at 585 Broadway, Long Branch and opened in 1998. Trucks will come and pickup good used furniture, some are sold and some are given away free. "Cuts for Christ" began in 1999 with free haircuts and is located at New Monmouth Baptist Church, Middletown and New Beginning Agape Church, Freehold. In 2003, a Pastor Advisory Board was formed (beyond our Board of Directors) and today there are 16 pastors of Protestant, Catholic and Pentecostal Churches In 2005, free computer classes in our offices in Eatonown. Budget counseling and life skills courses also started in 2005 are Bible based and taught within the churches. In 2009, Used Bike Ministry located at 701 Memorial Drive Asbury Park began. Elder Care and prayer/home visits also began in 2009.
