Section 8 Low Income Housing for Seniors funded through HUD. New Jersey Housing,Mortgage & Finance Agency acts as facilitator and monitors tenant waiting list and verifications of financial information required of each prospective tenant and certification annually of existing tenants.

History:
Somerville Senior Citizens Housing is a 153 apartment complex for low income seniors over the age of 62. We completed construction in 1978. Board of Directors consisted of local clergy who saw the need for senior housing in Somerset County. Our initial grant for funding took place through HUD section 8 Program in 1976.
