Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Homeside Hospice is looking for volunteers to provide pet therapy to our patients in nursing homes in Middlesex, Union, Somerset, Monmouth, Mercer, Passaic, Hudson and Bergen counties. If you have a certified therapy pet, you and your pet can provide a loving experience for patients often isolated from nature.
As a volunteer you will provide essential, quality of life services to patients. Your efforts will provide the sort of care and help that a loving friend provides and help insure that the Hospice promise is fulfilled.

Training required. The application process includes medical screening and a background check. Your pet must be certified as a therapy pet.
