This is a search for teens who really believe in making a difference. Before you read on you must know that QQ is about both having the heart and the ability to make a commitment. If you have made contact with us because someone has told you that you should volunteer because... ...it will look good on your college application ...it will help you qualify for National Honor Society ...it will help keep you busy ...this may not be for you. Quixote Quest looks for members who volunteer to help others, and not as something that will just benefit themselves. That is the greatness of it. Over the years, Quixote Quest teens, called the Qrew, make a commitment for the school year, and live by a special code. "The Qode" is a pledge to approach volunteering as one of the most important things that you can do with your life. The reflection of that importance is seen in the dedication of the members, who not only volunteer once per week (minimum 2 hours) throughout the school year, but come together two evenings per month to provide inspiration and support for each other...your fellow club members. Quixote Quest teens volunteer at with disadvantaged children, senior citizens, abandoned companion animals, those with disabilities, and with many other types of people in need, and with other important causes. To truly make a difference you need to be ready and willing to invest at least 50 hours to making a change in the lives of those who need help. It can not be a causal effort where you show up when you can...instead it needs to be something that you make the highest priority and it becomes part of your weekly routine. If your work is truly important then you and your family need to view it that way, and work together to make sure that you get there to give your help. If this sounds like we are describing you and the way that you feel about helping others, then we want you to contact us for more information We currently have six clubs in South and Central New Jersey and expand almost every year. The current clubs a re Camden County East in Voorhees, Camden County West in Merchantville, Gloucester County in Deptford, Burlington County South in Marlton, Burlington County North in Burlington Township, and Mercer County. The Mercer County Club meets in Hamilton QQ volunteering is during the school year and we are meeting with possible new members over the summer. If you have the heart of a volunteer and the passion to make a real difference, we hope to hear from you soon. Email today and ask for more information. qquest2002@yahoo.com Give us your high school and your grade level.
