Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Partners in Caring (PIC) is seeking volunteer partners to provide support services for its service population of seniors and persons with disabilities in northeast Mercer County and contiguous areas. PIC, a United Way-funded collaboration among six agencies and programs, is seeking Meal Deliverers for a mid day daily or back up schedule. Must have own reliable transportation. Teams of drivers and runners are welcome. Deliveries may be daily, weekends or as available. Coordination is through one or more Partner agency. Routes are mostly within northeast Mercer County and nearby areas. Volunteer drivers aged 55+ may be eligible for certain benefits through the RSVP Program. Drivers need not be from target service area.

Must have own reliable transportation. There will be orientation and training before assignment. Must be comfortable working with seniors and /or persons with disabilities. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) eligible persons may receive a small mileage subsidy and other insurance coverages as needed. Meal deliverers need not be from target service area.
