Volunteer Opportunity Details:

A volunteer familiar with marketing/fundraising is needed to work with fundraising staff to create case statements, annual plans, presentations about United Way, educate other volunteers about the 'new' United Way and identify creative ideas for events/activities to get the word out. This volunteer would help recruit other enthusiastic volunteers and carry out the volunteer initiatives agreed upon.

Some knowledge of fundraising at the $1000 level, event planning and management is helpful as well as communications skills like writing, eblast & newsletter marketing, etc.

Directions:

 From Rt. 1 North, take Carolier Road (exit for Camden/New Brunswick/Milltown). Go through the Rt. 130 traffic light and follow the road around to Milltown Road. Go right at the light and continue to Ford Ave on your right. Make a right. We are the first building on your left. From Rt. 130 North, take right at light onto Carolier Road and follow above directions. From the NJ Turnpike (North and South) Proceed on the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 9 bearing right after the toll booth following signs to New Brunswick via Route 18. Continue on Route 18 (exit right, then get into left lane, then back into right lane) exiting on Route 1 South (toward Trenton). Rt 1 South Proceed on Route 1 South exiting at Riders Lane (toward East Brunswick). Continue on Riders Lane to second traffic signal making a right turn onto Washington Avenue (toward Milltown). Proceed on Washington Avenue (at no more than 25 miles per hour with seat belt secure) to the end at Milltown Road. Make a right turn onto Milltown Road (Hess Station) and first left on to Ford Avenue. The United Way of Central Jersey is in the first occupied brick building on the left (#32).
