Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The success of Project Porchlight is built upon the efforts of our volunteers and community leaders.
Discover the numerous practical and realistic ways you and your community can contribute to your local Porchlight campaign by taking any (or many!) of the actions listed below.
Offer Administrative and Logistics Support
• Offer community / office space for volunteers and staff to administer local campaign
• Offer community / office warehouse space to store CFLs before and during local campaign
• Offer community space for local events
• Offer phone / internet / printing support
• Connect with Project Porchlight’s regional coordinators, acting as the point of contact for your community
• Advise on local programs (making sure Project Porchlight compliments your local initiatives)
• Advise on community logistics (rural / urban delivery strategies, potential event locations, etc.)
• Gather community contacts and connect Project Porchlight with local volunteer networks (we like to work very closely with community associations, youth groups, multicultural groups, etc.)

Volunteer on our delivery campaigns
• Attend and participate at Project Porchlight events
• Join the Porchlight team and deliver CFLs in your neighbourhood
• Lead or help lead the Project Porchlight team in your city or community

Get the message out*
• Tell your colleagues about Project Porchlight and send a message to your networks
• Post volunteer recruitment posters in your office
• Include an article about Project Porchlight in your newsletter
• Add a link to the Project Porchlight web site on your community web site
• Include information about Project Porchlight in your e-communications
• Speak at local campaign launches and events
