Volunteer Opportunity Details:

There are seven areas to develop; a rose garden, wild flower bed, perennial bed, and vegetable garden are examples. Individual volunteers or a volunteer group may choose to concentrate on one area alone or take a number of sections. Ordering of plants and supplies, weeding, watering, and simply maintaining these grounds are opportunities for residents and volunteers to work together in a joint effort to make both the grounds and the building more inviting to the public eye. In addition, the attractiveness of the environment will lift the spirits of the residents, volunteers, families, staff and visitors. Afterwards, families may visit in the gardens; residents can help man a vegetable or flower stand; volunteers can create a menu from produce grown. Thus, maintaining the gardens will no longer be chores, but shared fun times. Students, adults, and families are welcome.
