HOLIDAY ORNAMENT PROJECT

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on August 26, 2009

Help us celebrate the Gifts of the Season 20th Anniversary with our Holiday Ornament Extravaganza! Volunteers are needed to make low cost holiday ornaments shaped as gingerbread men in LiveUnited t-shirts.

A pattern and materials list will be made available. This is a perfect project to be done at your location or ours.

Each year, hundreds of volunteers support Somerset County United Way with the coordination and distribution of more then 10,000 holiday gifts for struggling families in our community. We would like to be able to give these volunteers a hand-made ornament as a token of appreciation for their hard work.

Materials to be provided by volunteers: Foam for gingerbread man cut out, felt for the white Live United t-shirt, scissors, glue, string or ribbon for hanging ornament, eyes, decorations, etc.

Volunteer Reflections    Post Your Own!

5 Overall Experience    Experience rating
felt good to volunteer to help school children go back to school with their own supplies

My son and I met and worked with very nice people who made this first sorting experience pleasant. We also felt good about what we did and would definitely do it again.
