Learn who needs help in your commuity. Get ideas by reading your local newspapcer or looking at the volunteer opportunities on www.uwsc.org. Go to makeadifferenceday.com to interact with our online "Idea Generator". Or simply look around, ask neighbors, and connect with civic, school, and spirtiual groups.

Step Two

Plan and publicize

Turn your idea into a blueprint at makeadifferenceday.com. There you'll find downloadable planning guides, links to groups offering suppport and supplies, and a toolkit of press materials. Get the word out to the media, and regisiter your plan online in the National Make A Differece DAYtaBANK.

Step Three

Report your results

After performing your good act on Oct. 28., fill out a simple form on makeadifferenceday.com describing what took place and the impact you witnessed. Mail it to USA WEEKEND Magazine to be counted, and become elgible for a $10,000 charitable donation.
